Film Ranch Announces Horror & Hotties
(released 2/14/2007)
By greenroomwire

Film Ranch International announced plans for the new Horror & Hotties Film Festival, an exhibition of films mixed with comedic live entertainment and contests. This will be a one day festival on Saturday, March 3rd at the University of South Florida in Cooper Hall Room 103. The event starts at 6pm and should run until about Midnight. Admission is free, but you must at least 18 years of age to enter.

"We are thrilled to bring Horror & Hotties to Tampa Bay. Such a wild and energetic city deserves a no-holds-barred film festival. It's going to be an outrageously fun night featuring some of the best independent horror and camp films from around the country." said Andy Lalino, president and producer, Film Ranch.

Packed with a slate of modern day cult films, the Horror & Hotties Film Festival promises a line-up of grisly gore, bawdy humor, and sexy sirens. "These films live up to their billing. If you want to see predictable and safe movies, go to the multiplex. If you want to rediscover how much fun going to the movies can be with a double-feature of fearless films, come to Horror and Hotties."

Featured titles include the Russ Meyer-inspired cult film phenomenon Pervert!, the possessed strippers bloodbath Devil's Den, the award-winning shocker Filthy, and from author/artist Gris Grimly, the wildly imaginative Cannibal Flesh Riot!. Says Lalino, "We'll be presenting terrific films that might never have played in the Tampa Bay area if not for this festival." Adds Lalino's partner Andrew Allan, "Everyone who attends should expect a bloody good time!"

In addition to the movies, the event will also feature a Make-Out section, a Bloody T-shirt contest, and the "Be the Next Scream Queen" contest, where the sexiest shrieker can win a role in an upcoming Film Ranch horror movie.

The event will be hosted by Steve "Uncle Creepy" Barton, Co-Founder and Editor-In-Chief of DreadCentral.com. Interested parties can learn more and read updates about the fest at: www.myspace.com/hhff6669
