Gasparilla FF Secures Films and More

The Gasparilla Film Festival has secured the Cuban documentary, 638 Ways to Kill Castro. The festival has also selected another Cuban feature film, Tell Me Cuba, to be part of its Showcase of the Americas. This spotlight on Cuba will be a highlight in the section of the festival that will screen features from Latin and North America. Panels and discussions for the filmmakers will also be part of the festival. Screenwriter Wayne Beach will be participating in these discussions, which will be free and open to the public. David Coburn, the voice of Captain Planet, will be appearing at the FREE Family Night Screening on Saturday, March 3.

In addition to screening films, the Gasparilla Film Festival will host a series of panels and discussions on Saturday, March 3 for the festival's participating filmmakers. Wayne Beach, whose writing credits include Murder at 1600 (Warner Bros.,1997) and The Art of War (Warner Bros., 2000) will be part of the panel discussion on screenwriting. These panels are free and open to the public. The location is to be determined.
