Thompson attached to Doc about Nichelle Nichols

Todd Thompson is attached to direct Woman in Motion, a documentary slated to release in 2016. The film currently in pre-production will tell the story of Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura on Star Trek) post-Star Trek when she was employed by NASA and made in charge of recruiting new astronauts. Nichols' efforts from 1970-1987 diversified the pool of recruits to include women, African-American, and Asian candidates.
The film is scheduled to shoot at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Johnson Space Center in Houston, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
