NFocus expanded into a second office last month. This is the first Tampa office, which makes 2 total now. Their original location is in nearby Lakeland.
In addition to producing commercials and corporate events, NFocus has produced an award winning documentary feature film. This film is called Voices From Mariel. Mariel follows 10 Cuban-American families as they retell their experiences from the Mariel Boat Lift of 1980. The documentary is based on a manuscript by Dr. Jose Garcia, who was 13 years old when his family migrated to the US. Garcia is currently Associate Professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies and Modern Languages Chair at Florida Southern College.
Voices From Mariel won the Jury Award for Best Caribbean Film at the Aruba International Film Festival on June 13th. It also won the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary at the Gasparilla International Film Festival in March.
